Target groups:

Doctoral students and postdocs who have little or no experience in writing funding applications

 

Motivation and goals:

(a) how to develop your project idea into a solid program of work,

b) how to reconcile it with the requirements of the funding program

c) how to facilitate communication with the evaluator by presenting your complex ideas in an easily understandable way

 

Contents:

  • Overview of funding opportunities

  • Background information on funding programs and evaluation processes

  • How to read the official documents

  • Turning an idea into a work plan

  • Structure of a work plan

  • Visualization of the work plan

  • Matching the idea with the desired funding program

  • How do you present the project convincingly?

  • What does the project need to stand out from others?

  • Where should which information be placed in the application and how should it be written?

  • Calculating the budget

  • Notes on the application procedure

 

Period:

the 1st part of the course is on 16.09.2024 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

the 2nd part of the course is on 17.09.2024 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

the 3rd part of the course is on 27.09.2024 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

the 4th part of the course is on 02.10.2024 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

Free of charge for doctoral students and postdocs in Magdeburg.

Please note that without your timely cancellation of your participation and/or in case of your non-appearance on the day of the event, we would be obliged to claim the pro-rata costs of the event incurred in relation to your person as damages.
