Apply for COMETiN:

Start: October 16, 2024

Deadline: September 15, 2024

COMETiN@GraduateAcademy is aimed at female or female-identifying researchers from Magdeburg (level PhD and Postdoc) and the surrounding area who want to actively shape their professional future and aspire to leadership positions in academia, business, or research.

The one-year program (10/2024-10/2025) offers female and female-identifying middle-stage researchers the opportunity to continuously and sustainably engage with planning and implementing their career steps through various workshops, coaching sessions, and mentoring. It also allows participants to enhance academic key qualifications and foster supportive relationships with other researchers.

The program supports individual career paths from the doctoral phase, during postdoctoral work, and as a junior professor.

COMETiN consists of four modules that take place approximately once a month over one year in a consistent group of peers:

  • COACHING
  • MENTORING
  • TRAINING
  • NETWORKING (e.g., including alumni events)

Additionally, there is a framework program (kickoff event, midpoint check-in, closing event) for which participation is mandatory.
The program is open to researchers (PhD and Postdoc) from all disciplines.
A one-time participation fee of €100 is required.
The program is bilingual (German and English). Internationals are warmly welcome and are especially encouraged to apply!

Wildcards (for employees and non-OVGU-affiliated individuals, e.g., IFF, MPI, H2, etc., as well as queer early-stage researchers) are also possible.
