H-Soz-Kult is a specialised scientific forum acting as an information and communication platform for historians. News and publications can be found online under the motto "from scientists to scientists through scientists" - as idealized from the beginning by the site creators. The idea is to develop a sense of community, exchange and transparency, committed to the Open Access principles. The project has been headed by the Departament of History at the Humbold University in Berlin since 1996. After registering the participants can subscribe to various contributions, such as papers, reviews, conference reports, announcements and job advertisements.
